Cheap, a throwback vibe, friendly service and artery clogging food. So glad to see that this place is exactly the same as it was when i was a little kid coming with my grandparents for a cheeseburger and a shake. The food is dirt cheap. My Roast Pork & Gravy Plate was pure comfort food for less then $5.00. Two slices of bread, shredded roast pork, mash potatoes with gravy poured on top. The Cheese Curds were huge nuggets of cheese with a thin layer of breading. Juicy Cheeseburger and huge crunchy Onion Rings. The Banana Split was a true old fashion split. A scoop of vanilla, strawberry, chocolate ice cream, fudge, caramel, strawberry sauce with whip cream, nuts and a cherry on top. They have a cheese case and another cooler selling other dairy products. Along with maple syrup, honey, dry mixes, cow pies and other dry wisconsin products on the shelves. Come here for breakfest, lunch or dinner if you want cheap greasy comfort food and don't forget a malt or sundae. The ice cream is made on site.

Food is extremely cheap and a decent value. Some things are better than others. My hybrid sandwich made by putting a fried chicken sandwich together with the grilled ham and cheese sandwich and adding bacon was only about $6.50 lol. It was really good. The chicken was most and crunchy. The cheese was melty and tasted good. The bacon was a little overcooked for my taste but I know some people like bacon super crunchy. My dad's turkey dinner was bad. Basically just cold cuts of Turkey hatred up with weak canned gravy that tasted like flour and water and nothing else. My wife's malt was great with little flecks of ice that helped keep it super cold. Overall very solid. Nothing spectacular but service was nice and friendly and accommodating to help me make my hybrid sandwich.

The good: I enjoy the cheese. The prices are great, and a decent variety. The bad: The shipping cost are high. I live on Florida. If I buy 5 pounds of cheese the cost is $16.46 for ups ground about 5 days. $18.69 for warm weather for 5 days.

The first time I visited Wisconsin, my husband took me here to try cheese curds since I'd never had them. I've since discovered that I greatly prefer curds made with yellow cheddar and theirs were fantastic, the breading was very light and crispy and had good flavor. We also shared an order of stuffed mushrooms, also very tasty. When we moved up here, I decided I wanted to go again since the first experience was so memorable. I got an order of cheese curds to go and ended up being very disappointed. The order came out quickly and was fresh, but the curds were really lacking in flavor.

I have lived in the area my entire life and people informed me over the years how amazing this place was.....so my husband and I decided to stop here. I'm not sure what people are loving because I thought it was horrible! Yeah the food is cheap but it tastes like crap. The service was good. The place is small and dingy. Save your money and eat at home.

This place was so good! My dad and I were looking for a good place to have breakfast. We stopped by a couple in town (Beaver Dam) but they looked too crowded. So we headed out State Road and saw Crystal Creek Dairy House. Its a smaller place but it reminded me of a mom and pop little restaurant/cafe. There was only a couple people inside but it felt cozy. We ordered the Farmer's Omelet! Soooo good! They also sold every kind of cheese you could imagine! I saw up on the board chocolate cheese! haha! I'd go here again, soon. The prices were cheap and the food was fresh and very tasty!

I stopped in for some string cheese since I read the review on here. It was DELISH! Salty, a little dry, nice and stringy. Super long and not those uniform shapes you find at the grocery store! Awesome! We didn't get to stay to eat but the food I saw people eating made me wish I could sit down. Will stop back next time I am in town to eat and buy string cheese!

Really great - especially for Beaver Dam. I've been eating here for 30 yrs when I visit relatives. Stop in for a malt or grilled cheese sandwich. You won't be sorry!
